dc.description.abstractManoel Theatre Orchestra presents their programme for a vocal and instrumental concert of opera songs, conducted by Mro. Joseph Sammut, and led by George Spiteri. The concert starred singers Joe Huber (tenor), Marie Thérèse Vassallo (mezzo soprano), Pio Zammit (bass), Hilda Mallia Tabone (soprano), Joseph Vella Bondin (bass), Andrew Sapiano (tenor), Joe Fenech (baritone), and Antoinette Miggiani (soprano). The concert featured the musical works of Alberto Vella, Carmelo Pace, Donizetti, Bizet, Verdi, and Gounod. The performance was held on the 24th of May, 1974, at Manoel Theatre, in Valletta.en_GB
