Abstract: | This study focuses on the submission of responses to consultation papers issued by the Malta Communications Authority, by applying Ajzen' s theory of planned behaviour to the authorised undertakings in the electronic communications industry. A review of the available literature explores the different constructs that constitute the theory of planned behaviour, namely, attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioural control, intention and behaviour. The methodology used is a qualitative one, and the details about the different segments of the questionnaire are provided. The study concludes that there is a strong correlation between attitudes and intention, thus supporting our hypothesis that the more favourable the attitude towards submitting a response, the more positive the intention to do so. The limitations of the study and suggestions for future research are outlined in the conclusion. |
